This product is a nitrogen-containing cationic surfactant and is mainly used as a disinfectant. Under the same conditions of use, the killing rate of the product against heterotrophic bacteria, iron bacteria and sulfate-reducing bacteria is better than that of lauryldimethylbenzylammonium chloride, dodecyl dimethyl phenylmethyl ammonium bromide and other commonly used quaternary ammonium bactericides, for example, at the dosage of 10 mg/L, the killing rates of this product against heterotrophic bacteria, iron bacteria, and sulfate reducing bacteria are 99.9 %, 99.9 % and 99.99 %, respectively.  This product can be used in industrial water treatment systems for biocide and algae removal, slime stripping and system cleaning. During use, this product has the same precautions as other quaternary ammonium bactericides such as benzalkonium.
